汪家斌教授简介：Jiabin Wang received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from JiangsuUniversity of Science and Technology, Zhengjiang, China, in 1982and 1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University ofEast London, London, U.K., in 1996, all in electrical andelectronic engineering.

Currently, he is a Professor in Electrical Engineering at theUniversity of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K. From 1986 to 1991, he waswith the Department of Electrical Engineering at Jiangsu Universityof Science and Technology, where he was appointed a Lecturer in1987 and an Associated Professor in 1990. He was a PostdoctoralResearch Associate at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K.,from 1996 to 1997, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of EastLondon from 1998 to 2001. His research interests range from motioncontrol and electromechanical energy conversion devices to electricdrives for applications in automotive, renewable energy, householdappliances and aerospace sectors.He is a fellow of the IET and asenior member of the IEEE.

报告主要内容：The talk will review the most significant developments in faulttolerant electric drives in the past decades for safety criticalapplications, present methodology for reliability assessment offault-tolerant drive systems, and highlight key challenges to beaddressed in future research.
